Ghost Band

The Fresh Beats travel to a ghost town for a new gig, and these ghosts are trying to scare them out of town. Will this ghost band scare the Fresh Beats out of town? Or can the Fresh Beats perform their gig

Plot

The Fresh Beats are having pizza when they get a letter that tells them that they have a gig outside of town! The Fresh Beats are excited.

But when they get to the town, they notice how it looks. The town is all dried up and dusty. They meet town mayor Henry. Suddenly they see musicians running off because there are ghosts in the town. Kiki tells Henry that there are no such things as ghosts. The Fresh Beats go off and get ready for their gig.

The Fresh Beats, dressed in their western outfits, go to a cazebo-stage, where there are already the instruments they need. But then they notice that the piano is playing by itself. Shout discovers that it's just a mouse. But as they go off to tell Henry they're ready for their concert, a ghost band appears! They're trying to scare the Fresh Beats away.

The Fresh Beats investigate the town. It's empty and quiet. Then the ghosts (invisible) throw lemon pies at Twist and Shout. When a ghost showers Marina with flour, Kiki says that the prankster isn't very nice, and the ghost pours flour on her. The Fresh Beats get smoothies and they get cleaned up from the pies and the flour. Before they know it, their smoothies mysteriously fly off. When they catch the smoothies, the ghosts lock them up in prison. The ghosts confess that they couldn't scare them off, and they rudely laugh as they tell them to try and play their concert. Twist thinks of a random idea to get out of the prison. Marina thinks they should sit down calmly and drink their smoothies. But then she gets so scared that she starts panicking, and Twist and Kiki calm her down just as Henry comes in to rescue them.

The Fresh Beats meet up with the ghost band and have a showdown at high noon. Kiki and the ghostly violinist compete in the violin. Shout and the harmonica-playing ghost compete on the harmonica. And Marina and the female ghost compete in tap dancing. It's a tie for all three of them, but there's one thing the ghosts can't do: beatbox. So the Fresh Beats win! Just as the ghosts are getting ready to leave town, the Fresh Beats realize that the ghosts are misunderstood. The Ghost Band was the only band that ever played on the stage. They played their first concert in the town 183 years ago. They scare off every musician that came to town because they want to keep playing. So the Fresh Beats and the Ghost Band decide to play the concert, but there are only two people and a donkey. It looks like when the Ghost Band scared away all the other bands, they also scared away every citizen in the town. So the Fresh Beats help them bring everyone back by playing Fresh Start.

Trivia

  • When the camera is at Marina's feet while she's tap dancing with the female ghost, she (Marina) is seen wearing different tap shoes instead of the ones she wore in Quack Shoes.
  • The song Here We Go is shortened in this episode.
