"Freeze Dance" is an episode of The Fresh Beat Band from the first season. Characters Present[]Summary[]It's too hot to practice, and the Fresh Beats cool off with a smoothie. Melody leaves them in charge of the shop, and pretty soon they're making ice-cold smoothies that freeze everyone, which turns into a freeze dance! Plot[]The episode starts off with Kiki still in bed sleeping, and she hears music that's perfect for a dance party she's planning to have. She decides that she should get dressed first, so she goes to her closet to find something to wear. She first puts on a massive snow suit, and it would be perfect for a snow storm, but not a dance party. She then puts on an astronaut costume, but it was too "astro-nutty." She eventually puts on her regular clothes, which are perfect for a dance party. Kiki then exits her room and meets with the other Fresh Beats to sing the song "Get Up And Go Go." The Fresh Beats go outside, and it turns out it is very hot. A little too hot for a dance party. The Fresh Beats put on sunblock, but Twist puts it on incorrectly. He first forgot to rub it in, then once he rubbed it in, his face turned blue. After that, he carved the sunblock on his face into pretty little flowers. He finally applies the sunblock correctly and is good to go. Unlike Marina's drumsticks, which melted. Kiki then thought of an idea to go to The Groovy Smoothie to get a smoothie to cool them down. But the street was too hot for the Fresh Beats' feet, so they had to cross the street very rapidly. The Fresh Beats eventually get to the other side of the street and use a bucket of water to cool off their hot feet. Twist, oddly enough, got his foot stuck in that bucket and sent it rolling away. The Fresh Beats make it to The Groovy Smoothie and order some smoothies. Twist orders an extra-chilly cherry smoothie, Marina orders a wiggly-giggly watermelon smoothie, Kiki orders a sour lemon squeeze smoothie, and Shout orders an icy-cold banana smoothie. Melody was about to make their smoothies, but it turns out that she was all out of bananas! So she heads over to the store and gets bananas and trusts the Fresh Beats to watch over The Groovy Smoothie. As the Fresh Beats are cleaning up The Groovy Smoothie, they sing the song "Friends Give Friends A Hand." After the song ended, Reed came out of his music store, rapidly crossing the street, and headed over to The Groovy Smoothie to get an ice-cold smoothie to cool him down. Reed sees the Fresh Beats behind The Groovy Smoothie counter and orders an orange-flavored smoothie. As the Fresh Beats are making the smoothie, it starts to become a chaotic process. Shout keeps receiving the ingredients way too rapidly, and it's hard for him to make the smoothie. Marina then says that they need to find some way to let Shout know when the ingredients are coming. So she suggests tapping two wooden spoons together and saying the ingredient is coming, just like how when they play music, Marina taps her drumsticks to let them know when to start playing. The Fresh Beats perform this method, and make a chilly orange smoothie for Reed. Reed drank the smoothie, and it was so cold that it made him freeze like a statue. The freezing was only temporary, though. The Fresh Beats also drink the smoothie and they freeze like statues as well. Reed then goes back to his music store and as he is about to go back, he drinks the smoothie and freezes again. He then unfreezes and rapidly crosses the hot street again. Eventually, lots of people come over to The Groovy Smoothie, of course, needing a cold smoothie on a hot day. Kiki wishes that everybody had cooled down so that they could have a dance party. Twist then has an idea to go get a vastly humongous airplane and pick up a giant-sized iceberg so that everyone can cool down so that they can have their dance party. Marina does agree that it's a cool idea, but she suggests that they find a way to keep everyone cool while they dance. Shout then has an idea to dance and drink smoothies. That gives Kiki an idea that they can all have a freeze dance party. This means that when the music starts, everybody dances. And when the music stops, everyone has to freeze, just like in the game freeze dance. So while everybody is dancing, the song "Freeze Dance" is aptly being sung. The song ended, and everyone had a very cool time freeze-dancing. Melody comes back to The Groovy Smoothie with the bananas she got from the store. She says that it is very hot today, so Shout gives Melody one of the ice-cold freezing smoothies the Fresh Beats made in order to cool her down. And of course, after she drank it, Melody froze. The Fresh Beats thank Melody for letting them watch over The Groovy Smoothie, and Melody, along with the Fresh Beats, drinks one of the freezing-cold smoothies and declares that it was a great day.
